Pharmacist position in Pharmacy Admin Support at Ascension Saint Joseph, Chicago, IL. Focus on embedded specialty services within an oncology clinic. Full-time, day shifts. Salary range $128,743.65 - $188,288.10 per year. Responsibilities
Assure appropriate selection, dosing, administering, and dispensing of medication orders in specialized areas (nuclear medicine, oncology, cardiology). Serve as a subject matter expert in pharmacy discipline and provide guidance across pharmacies and to clinical leadership. Review and assess medication orders to identify, prevent and resolve potential and actual drug related problems. Recommend formulary alternatives when appropriate. Compound and dispense medications for accurate delivery to patients. Provide drug information and education to medical staff and patients. Communicate with physicians and other clinicians as necessary to facilitate care. Oversee technical personnel who assist in preparation, maintenance, and dispensing of medications and supplies. Assist with academic functions such as serving as a preceptor for pharmacy students. May float to provide coverage of pharmacy needs. Provide patient counseling when required. Requirements
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Pharmacist credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation prior to hire or job transfer date. Education: Bachelor\'s or advanced degree in Pharmacy required. Licensure: Active licensure in good standing with IDFPR. Training/Experience: Completion of ASHP PGY-1 Residency with ambulatory care or specialty pharmacy experience (or ASHP PGY-2 in Oncology, Ambulatory Care, Pharmacotherapy, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Transitions of Care) or Doctorate of Pharmacy with at least five years of ambulatory care or specialty pharmacy experience. Certification: Clinically oriented certifications (e.g., BCACP, BCPS, BCOP, CSP) preferred. Additional focus: This position focuses on embedded specialty services within an oncology clinic. Benefits
