Design, review, and execute pipeline operations to support safe and efficient gas transmission. Provide technical input and oversight for gas handling procedures, ensuring safety during system configuration changes. Identify and assess integrity threats from construction activities, easement encroachments, heavy equipment crossings, and environmental changes. Evaluate and rank risks across the system to support prioritization and funding of safety, integrity, and reliability projects. Independently manage the design and execution of projects aimed at risk mitigation and regulatory compliance. Provide guidance and support to field personnel and other engineers during procedure reviews and operational planning. Directly responsible for the safety of Area Operations personnel and surrounding stakeholders by approving gas handling procedures and overseeing system configuration changes. Makes critical decisions and provides technical support for procedure reviews and operational changes. Assesses threats to pipeline integrity from external factors and environmental conditions. Supports risk ranking and project prioritization to ensure effective use of resources. Manages projects from design through execution with a focus on safety, compliance, and reliability. Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field. Minimum 7 years of experience in the pipeline transmission industry. Strong understanding of CFR 192 and other relevant codes. Preferred
Familiarity with both Liquids and Natural Gas operations and integrity programs. Strong technical background in Pipeline Integrity and Field Operations. Proficiency in computer systems, communication, negotiation, and purchasing. Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects. High-quality oral and written communication skills. Experience leading in a team environment. Working Conditions
Physical Requirements: Includes but is not limited to balancing, bending, stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying/lifting up to 25 lbs, grasping, kneeling, pushing/pulling, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, walking, visual and hearing acuity. Mental Requirements: Includes but is not limited to understanding and applying instructions, solving complex problems, organizing and prioritizing work, making decisions with moderate impact, composing reports and correspondence, and communicating effectively via phone and in person.
