Overview

We are seeking a Privacy Engineering Manager to oversee the development, integration, delivery, and ongoing management of Versant’s privacy compliance program utilizing the OneTrust platform. This role leads and manages a team of engineers while remaining hands-on with technical problem solving. The ideal candidate will bring technical experience with OneTrust DSR (Data Subject Request Automation) and CMP (Consent Management Platform) modules and strong leadership to guide a distributed engineering team, ensuring systems and processes meet global privacy regulations. Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and coach a team of privacy integration engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and accountability Partner with product teams and stakeholders to define technical requirements from business and compliance needs Serve as the engineering owner of OneTrust to manage integrations, workflows, and system configurations across OneTrust modules (DSR/CMP) Remain hands-on approximately 30% of the time, solving complex technical challenges and supporting the team on critical issues Deliver projects on time and within budget while maintaining high quality and compliance standards Champion code quality, conduct peer reviews, and ensure adherence to engineering best practices Create and maintain architectural diagrams, runbooks, and technical documentation Ensure change requests and deployments are executed successfully and on schedule Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field — or equivalent experience 7+ years of professional experience working with integrated systems (testing, vendor platforms) 2+ years of leading or managing engineering teams 1+ years of direct hands-on experience with OneTrust (DSR/CMP experience strongly preferred) Experience with object-oriented programming and/or scripting languages Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proven success solving complex technical challenges Experience with API integration and web services (Postman a plus) Familiarity with Git tooling (GitHub preferred) and VS Code Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a distributed/remote environment Strong organizational, delegation, and interpersonal skills Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices Additional Requirements

Fully Remote: This position has been designated as fully remote, meaning contributions from a non-Versant worksite (most commonly the employee’s residence). Salary and Benefits

Base pay range: $150,000.00/yr - $190,000.00/yr This position is eligible for company-sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and other discounts and perks.
