Looking for a Controls (PLC) Technician capable of a high degree of independence while taking direction from a Senior Controls Engineer. Applicant should be able to program, source components, order components, and troubleshoot wiring and coding with minimal oversight. Education required
Desired AAS or Higher. 3 additional years of experience can be considered in lieu of formal education (for a total of 10). 7+ Years working with PLCs, HMIs, drives, and safety systems and structured programming, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Experience with PLCs, HMIs, drives, and safety systems and structured programming Knowledge of controls systems design, programming, and systems integration Experience working in a manufacturing environment Strong written & oral communications skills Actively participate in all phases of projects including design, fabrication, off-line integration and testing, installation, production start-up support, training of plant personnel and technology transfer. The individual must be capable of executing project assignments in a team-based environment with minimal supervision Responsibilities
Provide 2nd-level technical expertise in PLC controls-based troubleshooting and continuous improvement in support of new production line installation. Follow direction from a Sr Controls Engineer. Enhance manufacturing capabilities through the implementation of new ideas and methods. Independently execute project objectives to fulfill overall project goals and milestones.
