Advanced Manufacturing Engineer
on our team, you’ll turn complex challenges into practical, cost-effective solutions that improve products, processes, and technologies. You’ll serve as the go-to expert for special process manufacturing. This role will be covering areas such as Air Flow, Braze, Chemical Processes, Cold Spray, Composites, Adhesives, Heat Treat, Grit Blast, Metal Spray, Paint, Part Marking, Pressure Test, Rivet, Shot Peen, Water Jet, and advanced welding methods (Plasma Arc, TIG, and E-beam). Your work will directly impact PSH APU and engine components. In this role, you will also lead engineering projects to drive productivity, reduce costs, and standardize work scopes, ensuring measurable business results. Maintain and create trainings and evaluate operators for all special process areas. Offer hands-on engineering support across operational and project needs Serve as the focal point for Special Process Engineering, including troubleshooting, process sheet management, material/process equivalency and substantiation reports, and repair development aligned with business goals Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics 3+ years of Engineering experience Us Person Requirement Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization. We Value Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical, Materials, Weld Engineering degree Masters in Engineering Six Sigma Green Belt, Design for Six Sigma, Black Belt/MBB or Lean Expert/Lean Master certifications Manufacturing experience Repair and Overhaul experience Product design experience Ability to work independently Willingness to learn new technologies Must have excellent interpersonal skills, able to interface with all professional and technical disciplines within a repair environment An open, honest and team-oriented personality Eagerness to get involved in hands-on work Creativity Some experience developing products or sustaining existing products Experience in a highly regulated and safety critical domain Builds trust - high integrity, displays personal courage and commitment, empowers others Results oriented - removes barriers, streamlines the infrastructure, open to new opportunities at all levels, looks for bottom line results rather than adherence to form Risk management - maintains customer commitments, balances risks vs opportunities for improvement, challenges the status quo Innovation - simplifies tasks, maintains priorities and pushes the envelope on innovation wherever possible
