Last Energy is seeking an Electrical Engineer to oversee the planning, coordination, and management of all activities, projects, and personnel within the Electrical Engineering discipline for power plant design. A key aspect of this role is applying modularization techniques and designing with the objective of enabling mass production of power stations.
Responsibilities
Routing, component selection, and integration of modular connectors for high current/low voltage distribution systems
Ensure the successful completion of electrical engineering project deliverables to meet all technical, quality, financial, and project controls expectations
Originate and manage client relationships, developing key relationships with decision-makers and points of contacts within utilities, developers, and EPCs
Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and structural engineers throughout the development of industrial projects
Provide project construction support through RFIs and submittal review, contractor and owner request management, QA/QC of design work, and more
Oversee and manage electrical engineers through the performance of electrical calculations, load flow, voltage drop, and more
Qualifications
6+ years of experience in the design of electrical engineering systems
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an accredited program
Experience in Power Plant, Data Center, or Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure is preferred
Experience in the selection of equipment, materials, and the preparation and assembling of engineering design change packages, calculations, and specifications
Effective written and verbal communication skills to convey information to both project team members and clients
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing startup environment
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines
