Performs Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures at a technical level which does not require direct supervision and assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required. What you will do in this role
Position and transfer patients. Select proper technical protocols on an individual patient basis. Provide Magnet safety in accordance with prescribed standards. Practice sterile techniques when necessary. Cross-train in specific areas as assigned. May be required to train technologists in specific areas. Maintain skills and knowledge in innovations in MRI techniques and equipment. Participate in call system and maintain department orderliness and cleanliness. Cooperate with all personnel in the proper conduct of the department. Rotate within the department by shift as required. Assist in equipment calibration. Maintain ethical relationships with patients and peers. Qualifications
Basic Cardiac Life Support Associate Degree ARMRIT (American Registry of MRI Technologists) or ARRT-MR (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) About the employer
