Overview

Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – New Bedford, MA. CareOne at New Bedford. Shifts available: Full Time & Per Diem. The SLP will be assigned to multiple facilities and travel time is frequent. The SLP participates as an integral part of the interdisciplinary team and manages resources to meet the needs of residents and related customers, balancing outcomes with cost-effective and efficient treatment. Responsibilities

Provide and direct resident rehabilitation care within generally accepted practice methods, meeting center, state, federal, and accrediting standards. Evaluate residents and establish effective and efficient treatment plans for assigned residents. Manage and coordinate supervision of treatment plans with all staff and other disciplines as indicated. Participate in screening of all residents according to directed schedules and practices. Provide feedback to the designated supervisor on clinical and rehabilitation issues. Participate in all center-directed processes and services. Demonstrate effective management of treatment and non-treatment related activities. Complete clinical documentation to meet center, state, federal, and accrediting requirements. Maintain accurate and timely billing records to meet required standards. Assist with marketing efforts as directed. Participate in in-service training programs as requested. May travel to other facilities to provide services. Qualifications

Master's Degree in Speech Therapy Current and active Speech Language Pathology license in the state of operation Preferred: experience/knowledge in older adult rehabilitation Preferred: knowledge of governmental and regulatory guidelines in designated healthcare settings About Us
