Overview Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting Medical Technologists to support the Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center located at 650 E Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85012. Services will be delivered to both the Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology divisions of the facility. Responsibilities Rotate through areas in which they are trained and competent Perform laboratory procedures in Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Microbiology, and Transfusion Medicine Recognize deviations from expected results, analyze, and correct problems using scientific principles Communicate critical results affecting patient care Maintain laboratory equipment, operate, calibrate, repair, and perform preventive maintenance Perform quality control, quality assurance, and corrective actions Enter and verify results in the computer system, analyze deviations, and troubleshoot Perform other duties related to Medical Technologist responsibilities Qualifications Accredited Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science, medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or related science, with completion of an accredited clinical practice program (NAACLS, CAAHEP, ABHES) OR Bachelor's degree with courses in biological science, chemistry, and mathematics, plus two years of post-certification clinical laboratory experience as a certified Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP-BOC) Minimum of one year of Medical Technologist experience in the last three years Knowledge of laboratory medicine techniques and practices Clinical training in laboratory medicine No sponsorship available Physical Requirements Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist Lift up to 20 lbs Carry up to 40 lbs reasonably Push/pull with 30 lbs of force Additional Information All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
