Staff Nurse II (8 Hour) - Part Time 0.6/Varied Shift

Position Summary:

Under the leadership of the Unit Director, Nursing Supervisor, and/or Charge Nurse, the Staff Nurse II is responsible and accountable for planning directing, assessing and providing nursing care according to the mission, philosophy, policies and procedures of Watsonville Community Hospital. Important dimensions of this position consist of quality of care, professional commitment, teamwork, interpersonal skills, safety, good public/customer relations and a broad nursing knowledge. The Staff Nurse II is an experienced nurse who shall orient new staff, precept students, and assume Relief Charge Nurse duty as oriented and assigned.

Education

As determined by California Board of Registered Nurses.

Experience

A minimum of 5 years in an acute care hospital setting and a minimum of 3 years of interventional Cath Lab with Interventional Radiology experience. Completion of applicable Hospital and department specific RN competencies (within 3 months of hire/transfer). Current Interventional/STEMI experience, hemodynamic monitoring included

Licenses And/or Certifications

State of California RN license American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BCLS required. ACLS required prior to the completion of orientation and independent assignment.
