Salary: $52.00 - $58.00 per hour. Placement within this range depends on experience and internal equity. For positions represented by a labor union, placement is guided by the collective bargaining agreement.

Position Summary 0.03 FTE; In‑House Registry (IHR) hours to cover PTO, leave, or schedule gaps. Expected to work 192 hours per year, including 6 Saturdays per quarter and 2 holidays. Not a benefited position.

Responsibilities

Provide speech‑language and swallowing services, including evaluation and treatment of patients with speech, language, cognitive‑communication, and swallowing disorders.

Conduct evaluations per ASHA Preferred Practice Patterns and Marianjoy clinical protocols, interpreting results to identify strengths and limitations.

Recommend treatment frequency and duration, set functional, measurable goals, and supervise students or support personnel.

Deliver patient, family, and caregiver education, training, and counseling regarding evaluation results and treatment techniques.

Document services, outcomes, and changes in status in a timely, accurate manner; submit charges per hospital policy.

Maintain productivity, equipment, inventory, and a safe treatment area.

Schedule and prioritize workload, and carry out additional duties as delegated.

Be flexible with schedule to meet patient care and team needs.

Maintain confidentiality, comply with state licensure laws, ASHA Code of Ethics, and NM policies.

Participate in patient conferences, educational events, and cost‑effective service initiatives.

Communicate effectively with team, patients, and caregivers; collaborate with other professionals; maintain open communication with management.

Qualifications Required:

Minimum 3 years of experience in inpatient rehabilitation and/or subacute program.

Active Illinois therapy license.

Current CPR certification.

Preferred:

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech‑Language Pathology or eligibility following completion of the Clinical Fellowship year.
