Location: Wichita, KS 67214 (Kansas healthcare jobs) Facility: Rehabilitation Hospital (41-bed Rehab Center) Position Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Registered Nurse Start Date: October 20, 2025 End Date: January 19, 2026 Contract Length: 13 weeks Hours: 36 hours per week Shift: 7A - 7P (12-hour day shifts) Estimated Weekly Salary: $1460 - $1500 Technology: Meditech Magic EMR, patient lifts, iSTAT, glucometer Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Kansas or compact state) BLS certification (Basic Life Support) Minimum 1 year of RN experience (rehabilitation nursing or med/surg preferred) Ability to read telemetry IV certification (for LPNs, if applicable) Strong communication and patient education skills Empathetic, patient-focused approach to care Preferred: CRRN (Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse), ACLS certification, knowledge of Quality Indicator scoring in post-acute healthcare settings Travel Nurse Responsibilities
Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation care plans with an interdisciplinary healthcare team Perform comprehensive head-to-toe assessments, lab draws, IV medication administration, and blood administration Educate patients and families on care plans and rehabilitation programs Advocate for patients and deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care Utilize med/surg nursing skills in a post-acute rehab hospital environment Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines Join our healthcare team in Wichita, Kansas, and make a meaningful impact in a newly opened rehabilitation facility equipped with the latest technology.
