PRN Nurse Practitioner , you will provide care to client employees and their dependents (ages 2+) at our on-site Health Center located in
Groton, CT . We are currently seeking coverage for
1 to 4 Saturdays per month , along with
either every Friday or select Fridays , based on your availability. The scheduled hours for this position are
Fridays: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM ,
Saturdays: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM , and
PTO coverage
as needed and available. What You’ll Do
Conducts physical exams and preventive health measures per guidelines Performs procedures such as injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management Develops patient care plans, records progress, and ensures continuity of care Educates patients on treatment plans, health maintenance, and development Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess clinical conditions Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care Prescribes or recommends treatments, including medications and therapies Refers patients to specialists or physicians as needed Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation Educates and coaches nursing staff on best practices Performs other duties as assigned What You’ll Bring
Maintains state RN licenses/certificates to practice Maintains Nurse Practitioner licenses/certificates to practice Maintains State Prescriptive Authority (if applicable) Federal DEA license (matching each state of practice as applicable) State Narcotic/Controlled Substance license if required in your state (listed in the original posting) Current national certification (ANCC or AANP required) Master’s Degree in Science of Nursing (or equivalent); if the Master Certificate does not state Nursing, a copy of transcripts is required Current certification with hands-on training in BLS for health care providers is required; ACLS may be required based on contract scope of services At least three years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice or emergency department setting Work-life balance is at the foundation of how decisions are made and where Premise is headed.
