Reports to the Nurse Manager/Director. Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting. Responsibilities Education:
Identifies learning needs, attends education programs, uses patient education materials, assesses readiness to learn, and considers developmental levels. Evaluation of Care:
Sets expected outcomes, revises care plans with guidance, participates in interdisciplinary discussions, and promotes continuity of care. Implementation:
Demonstrates competence in caring for patients with complex issues, performs bedside testing, follows standards, organizes care, and consults resources as needed. Leadership:
Develops professional goals, participates in unit activities, promotes cost-effective care, and maintains a safe environment. Patient Assessment:
Recognizes data to prioritize care, assesses discharge needs, and fosters family advocacy. Planning:
Collaborates on care plans, uses multidisciplinary resources, and addresses cultural considerations. Research:
Reads relevant journals and brings ideas for practice improvement. Education Requirements:
Graduation from a school of professional nursing. Licensure/Certification:
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina; BLS certification. Experience:
At least 1 year of nursing experience. Job Details: Full-time, 36 hours/week, onsite, variable schedule, Nash Hospitals, Nash UNC Health Care, Special Progressive Care Unit. Seniority level:
