Overview This position provides management for the patient care services of the ambulatory care pharmacy team. It assists with the implementation and maintenance of an enterprise-wide pharmacy practice model, contributing to the area of ambulatory pharmacy services. The role includes direct supervision of a portion of the ambulatory care pharmacists and oversight of staff in productivity, quality, cost, and compliance with national, state, and local regulations. The position supports The Ohio State University’s research and education missions. Patient care services include, but are not limited to, patient care encounters, placing orders, medication therapy management, population health management, pharmacotherapy, collaborative drug therapy management under a consult agreement, and educating patients, healthcare professionals, and students.
Minimum Qualifications For Hire:
This position must be a licensed pharmacist in good standing with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy or be eligible for licensure. A B.S. in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD) is required. An advanced administrative degree (M.S., MHA, MPH, MBA) is preferred. Post-graduate residency training is preferred. A significant track record in scholarship and teaching is preferred.
