Travel Rehab RN – Fusion Medical Staffing
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Rehab RN for a 13‑week travel assignment in Richmond, Virginia. Qualifications
One year of recent experience as a Rehab RN
Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred: ACLS certification
Preferred: NIHSS certification
Job Summary The Rehabilitation Nurse (Rehab RN) provides comprehensive care to patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or illnesses that require rehabilitative treatment. This role involves nursing assessments, care plan implementation, monitoring progress, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to help patients regain optimal physical, functional, and emotional well‑being.
Essential Work Functions
Complete nursing assessment of patients and document appropriately.
Prepare patients for surgery, including education about procedures and postoperative care.
Coordinate and provide holistic patient care, including mobility support, rehab exercises, and ADLs, ensuring adherence to individual care plans.
Monitor and evaluate responses to therapeutic interventions, documenting progress and communicating deviations or concerns to the interdisciplinary team.
Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with safety protocols.
Maintain a clean, organized environment and ensure rooms are stocked with necessary supplies and equipment.
Assist with safe patient transport to and from therapy sessions, diagnostic procedures, or other care areas as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice.
Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards.
