Aya Healthcare has an immediate opening for the following position: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse in Pomona, CA. Responsibilities

Provide Labor and Delivery nursing care for patients with obstetric needs. Monitor fetal status using External Fetal Monitoring (EFM) and interpret fetal heart rate patterns. Assist with sterile speculum exams (effacement, dilation, station, presentation) and perform sterile vaginal exams as needed. Administer medications and therapies as ordered (e.g., Magnesium Sulfate, insulin drips) and manage IVs. Use respiratory and neonatal equipment and procedures (e.g., Neonatal Resuscitation, Cord care, thermoregulation, radiant warmers). Provide discharge teaching to parents and coordinate newborn care (e.g., Newborn Assessment, metabolic screening, hypoglycemia care). Requirements

Required Certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced Required Skills: Facility births/month >300, Assist with sterile speculum exam (effacement, dilation, station, presentation), Sterile vaginal exam, Use of EFM, Spiral Electrode Placement, Use of External Fetal Monitoring, Use of IUPC placement and calibration, Recognition and Treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, Starting and maintaining IVs, Insulin drips, Magnesium Sulfate therapy, APGAR scores, Cord care, Neonatal Resuscitation, Radiant Warmers/Thermoregulation, Discharge teaching to parents, Infant Identification, Metabolic Screen, Newborn Assessment, Newborn hypoglycemia, Thermoregulation, Isolation Precautions/PPE Job Details

Pay: $2,817/week – $3,002/week Assignment Length: 13-week assignment Shift: 3, 12-Hour shifts, 19:00 – 07:00 Experience: At least one year of experience required Benefits
