Overview
Registered Nurse, Pediatric Emergency Department – Full time, nights, at Brenner Children’s Hospital, Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Night shift 1930-0730, every third weekend, 3 unit holidays. Pay range: $34.90 - $52.35 per hour. Position Highlights
Sign-on Bonus:

Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred. Registered Nurse licensure from the North Carolina Board of Nursing. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year of hire, per unit guidelines. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 1 year of hire, per unit guidelines. Responsibilities
Patient/Family Centered Care: Deliver compassionate care using the nursing process; assess, diagnose, plan interventions, and coordinate care in accordance with policies. Patient Discharge & Referrals: Participate in multidisciplinary discharge planning and referrals to hospital and community resources as needed. Safe, Therapeutic, and Healing Environment: Maintain patient privacy; ensure a respectful, responsive, and professional atmosphere; utilize technology and equipment to enhance safety. Effective Communication: Communicate effectively with the healthcare team and participate in professional practice model and shared governance initiatives. Professional Growth and Accountability: Engage in peer review and professional development; uphold care standards; exercise autonomous practice and critical thinking. Patient Advocacy: Act as a patient advocate throughout the continuum of care, including community settings. Care Management and Clinical Prioritization: Apply care management principles to deliver efficient patient care and improve outcomes.
