Job Summary

The RN participates as a member of the health care team in delivering quality health care to patients, which supports Kaiser Permanente's mission, vision and values. The RN provides a variety of nursing services in person and/or by phone utilizing the nursing process and leadership skills to address acute and chronic needs of Health Plan members and other patients of the Kaiser Permanente Health Care Program. They work under the general direction of the designated supervisor. Essential Responsibilities

Performs triage and telephone advice within applicable state practice acts. Documents care in accordance with standards. Basic Qualifications : Minimum two (2) years of RN experience within the last five (5) years OR completion of the Kaiser Permanente NW Ambulatory RN New Grad/transition to practice program Minimum six (6) months of chemotherapy infusion experience Minimum six (6) months of oncology experience Education : Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing. High School Diploma or GED required. License, Certification, Registration : Credentials from multiple states; primary state credentials required at hire; secondary state credentials required post hire. Registered Nurse License (Washington) within 6 months of hire or Compact License: RN within 6 months of hire Registered Nurse License (Oregon) within 6 months of hire Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Provider Certification within 6 months of hire Basic Life Support required at hire Additional Requirements : Demonstrates clinical nursing and leadership skills Able to type 20 words per minute Demonstrates effective interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills Willingness to learn computerized information systems Ability to work within teams and a dynamic work environment Customer-focused IV skills and central line care experience Preferred Qualifications : Experience with population care/case management, triage and advice Current or future bachelor's degree in nursing or related field Phone advice experience preferred ONS Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider Card upon hire/transfer preferred OCN Certification preferred Notes : This is an on‑call position that will support the departments at Central Interstate Medical Offices
