Prepare detailed quotations for fixture, tooling, sheet metal, labor and packing requirements to be used in developing a formal quote for customer. Evaluate the production process for cost saving measures that include custom tools, alternate materials and assembly jigs and fixtures. Document in a clear and informative manner the following aspects of a job: tool and fixture drawings, set up definition, operational procedures, routing paths and assembly instructions. Negotiate price, terms and conditions with outside suppliers to purchase special tooling, jigs, fixtures and general tools. Work with Production Planning and Design Engineering promoting efficient production methods by developing alternative solutions for tooling and product design. Qualifications
