This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position with a pay range of $32-$36/hour. Location: Chicago, IL.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Locate and mark positions for connections and fixtures

Install supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures and equipment, assemble and install valves and fittings

Install, repair and maintain water treatment equipment, piping and controls, underground storm sanitary and water piping systems, sinks/tubs/toilets, water heaters, and conditioners

Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported and graded

Test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks

Maintain all building codes and installation requirements to relevant legislation and environmental guidelines to all repairs and maintenance

Perform scheduled maintenance service on plumbing systems and fixtures

Prepare orders of supplies and keep daily reports in electronic work order system

On call is required for plumbing emergencies (on-call and travel pay is provided, accordingly)

Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required

Must be a licensed City of Chicago Plumber

5-10 years’ plumbing experience

Valid driver\'s license and vehicle to travel between properties is required - mileage reimbursement is paid

Ability to frequently use general maintenance tools, supplies and equipment such as hand tools, ladders, and safety equipment

Ability to frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and climb (stairs, ladders, etc.)
