Electrical Engineer O&M (Renewable Energy)
This role is based in Arlington, VA. On-site presence is required. About the Company Join a leading independent power producer at the forefront of renewable energy development. With a footprint across Virginia, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Kentucky, our client develops, constructs, and operates utility-scale solar energy projects. As a subsidiary of a publicly traded Israeli clean energy firm with over 1GW commissioned and a 7GW pipeline globally, the company is shaping the future of sustainable power in the U.S. and beyond. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our (Electrical) team within the Engineering Operations and maintenance (O&M) department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our renewable energy projects. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment in renewable energy projects. Lead and direct the electrical team. Analyze and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency. Monitor and report on the performance of electrical systems, identifying areas for improvement. Prepare weekly and annual plans for the electrical team. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Provide technical support and guidance to other team members and stakeholders. Participate in the commissioning and testing of new electrical installations. Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field. Proven experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the renewable energy sector. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and maintenance practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Seniority level
