About The Team

The launch operations team is a part of the Cape Canaveral launch site and is primarily responsible for the operational aspects of vehicle integration, payload integration, pad operations, countdown operations, recovery, and reusability. In the last year, the launch operations team was primarily focused on the final integration, checkouts, and execution of flying Terran 1. This includes everything from completing the vehicle final build to clearing the range of aircraft and vessels for launch to being the key operators in the countdown operation. In the last six months, the team has been supporting our team in Stennis with engine testing development and execution. In parallel, the team is working hand in hand with engineering teams on the design and build of critical infrastructure to support Terran R.

About The Role

Work collaboratively as part of a team responsible for the engineering and operational development of transporting critical flight hardware, including first and second stages. Support the design and development of fixed ground equipment, mobile transport systems, and offshore vessel support hardware. Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including vehicle design and operations—to define and implement requirements, engineering solutions, and ensure regulatory compliance throughout all phases of transport. Oversee the engineering, fabrication, and construction of essential assets for all transportation and operational phases. Identify, build, and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, contractors, and regulatory agencies. Develop and analyze metrics to track operational effectiveness and budgetary performance. Contribute to broader organizational goals, including landing system development, launch site development, and other infrastructure initiatives.

About You

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Construction Management, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a focus on collaboration and professional development. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, based on operational needs. Ability to work in outdoor environments, including extended periods offshore on a vessel or during overland travel. Willingness to travel to other company sites for cross-functional collaboration.
