Overview
Northrop Grumman Space Systems—Launch and Missile Defense Systems is seeking an Engineer Systems – Systems Integration Engineer (25-445). This role is based in Colorado Springs, CO, or Huntsville, AL, and requires on-site work with no remote options. Travel is 10% and relocation assistance is not provided. Clearance type: Secret. Position focuses on supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels within the C2BMC program, which integrates and operates missile defense capabilities and tests. Position Overview
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program provides an operational platform to plan missile defense operations, monitor battle progress, and control networked sensors and weapon systems. It connects, integrates, and synchronizes autonomous systems to improve performance and supports ground and flight tests to verify system capabilities. A Systems Engineer on the SE-V Architecture Team will collaborate on requirements gathering, use case development, logical architecture modeling, and interface definition. Responsibilities may include software development, database management, or using Model-Based Systems Engineering tools. The engineer will work with an experienced team to produce systems engineering deliverables in accordance with the Architecture and Systems Engineering Management Plan (ASEMP) and related processes. Experience with Microsoft Excel, includingPivot Tables, Excel Macros, and Visio Basic Qualifications

A Bachelor’s Degree in STEM fields such as Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university is preferred, along with 2 years of experience; or a Master’s degree (preferred) in a STEM-related field with no required work experience; or a PhD in a related field with 6 years of relevant work experience Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start Exposure to Systems Engineering concepts and skills such as: Requirements engineering Use case development Logical architecture modeling Interface definition Preferred Qualifications
Certificate: Completion of Systems Engineering Graduate Certificate Program (examples include UCSD, Stevens, MIT, Caltech) Certification: INCOSE Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP) Certification: Object Management Group Certified Systems Modeling Professional - Model User (OCSMP - MU) Training or experience in common programming languages is a plus: Java, C++, Python; plus database management, networking, or data communications Experience with performing systems engineering for DoD Information Systems is desirable Formal Systems Engineering education is a significant plus Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering Tools is a plus What We Can Offer You
