Electrical Engineer – Power (Multiple Locations)
Location: Houston, TX
Compensation: $117,000.00 – $217,000.00

Responsibilities
Perform engineering calculations and apply engineering principles to assist in the successful design, creation, and delivery of all electrical AutoCAD and Revit drawings for each client project.
Write, edit, and produce the accompanying specifications for each client project.
Review and approve shop drawings, RFIs, submittals, addenda, and other construction documents as assigned for electrical-related items.
Conduct fieldwork and complete field reports on electrical-related items to verify design as assigned.
Knowledge of NFPA 70 and NFPA 72 electrical codes.
Working knowledge of design standards and processes.
Working knowledge of lighting and lighting controls.
Working knowledge of fire alarm systems.
Working knowledge of power and power distribution systems, including emergency power.
Beginning knowledge of LTY mission and vision; business leadership roles.
Adaptable and open to learning new technologies and methodologies to stay at the forefront of electrical engineering advancements.
Participate in client meetings as necessary and/or as assigned by supervisor.
Participate in career development training as assigned by supervisor or Human Resources.
Required Skills and Knowledge
B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (F.E.) examination.
Certified by the State of Texas as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT).
Exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects under strict deadlines.
Ability to work well on a team.
Exceptional written and verbal skills.
Preferred Skills and Knowledge
Knowledge of and experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of building codes.
Previous experience in a MEP consulting environment.
Experience in the design of lighting and lighting controls, fire alarms, power and power distribution, technology systems, and other standard electrical systems for commercial settings.
