Senior Quality Engineer - Communications
Join OTTO Engineering, Inc. as a Senior Quality Engineer – Communications. Lead quality engineering support on assigned programs and production lines to ensure products are designed, procured, built, and validated in accordance with customer, regulatory, and OTTO’s quality requirements.
Base pay range:
$95,000 – $110,000 per year
Responsibilities
Review design, manufacturing, procurement, and test documentation to ensure quality reliability and regulatory requirements are met.
Represent the department in new project design teams and lead advanced quality planning (FMEA, Control Plans, Capability Studies, Test Equipment Studies, GR&R).
Lead quality metric meetings, coordinate continuous improvement programs, and implement SPC techniques.
Analyze root causes of non‑conforming products and initiate corrective and preventive actions; verify effectiveness.
Develop and control implementation of training programs for quality personnel.
Participate in ISO 9000, AS 9100 registration and other regulatory certifications; attend on‑site audits and customer quality discussions.
Assist with other related duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
BS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering or 5+ years of related experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a quality department in a manufacturing firm.
Background in project management and advanced quality planning.
Knowledge of ISO 9000, AS 9100, ISO 14000, and SPC techniques.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
Benefits
Target base salary range: $95,000 – $110,000.
