Balfour Beatty Construction, LLC is seeking a qualified candidate to work closely with the Project Manager and field management to:
Review and update progress and cost reports, schedules, and requirements for completion.
Assist in the development and management of project’s general conditions, construction schedule, project planning and phasing, and buyout strategy during preconstruction.
Assist in preconstruction planning regarding the project schedule and budget and review project estimates and cost control systems at the beginning of the project.
Understand project specifications, the contract, and the contract’s general conditions, confirming that all materials and subcontract work comply with contract documents and quality specifications.
Advise the project team on appropriate changes in methods, materials schedules, and procedures, ensuring all materials are properly tested according to specifications and that all test results are recorded.
Ensure that project site and company assets are secure, communicating individual safety roles, responsibilities, and expectations to clients, Operations staff, subcontractors, vendors, and the public to maintain a safe and respectful working environment.
Review and approve all bills for materials and subcontractor requisitions, confirming extra charges from subcontractors/suppliers and ensuring work is correctly executed.
Finalize the project closeout process to settle all financial obligations, demobilizing resources, and transitioning the project to the client.
Facilitate weekly project progress and safety meetings with subcontractor representatives and coordinate the upcoming week’s work.
Coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection trades (MEPF) and document all startup, Technical Activities Board (TAB), and commissioning activities.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, business, or a related field, and four years of experience in construction project management, commercial construction, as a construction superintendent, as a project engineer, or experience in a related field.
Experience with managing pre-construction operations, including cost analysis, cost estimating, and scheduling.
Experience with project management/cost/contract management software programs, including Procore, Oracle Primavera P6, JD Edwards, and BlueBeam.
