Overview

Automotive Technician/Mechanic at DARCARS Automotive Group. Potential earnings based on experience: $30 - $50 per hour + seniority bonus. As an Automotive Technician you are responsible for understanding and completing routine repairs necessary for the repair of customer vehicles. You will perform general repairs and diagnostics, with some assistance. These repairs may include light engine work, transmissions, clutches, drive shafts, electrical systems (starters and alternators), HVAC systems, steering and suspension systems. Responsibilities

Document all work performed and recommended on assigned repair orders. Use the multi-point inspection form accurately on each vehicle. Communicate with the service advisor when additional work is needed or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time. Maintain technician proficiency as specified by DARCARS standards. Conduct road tests to determine work needed and to confirm work was completed when necessary and practical. Perform all levels of diagnosis and repair on vehicles. Perform all levels of preventive and routine maintenance services. Utilize product and technical training as assigned by the manufacturer and management. Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs to expand knowledge of new technology. Maintain manufacturer (CSI) Customer Satisfaction Index at or above DARCARS goals in service for district, regional and national scores. Complete the work, notations and time-keeping necessary for warranty repair orders and warranty claims. Report any situation or condition that could jeopardize safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its customers or employees. Ensure customers’ vehicles are returned clean after service. Complete required training for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know). Comply with all laws, and company policy regarding safeguarding customer vehicles, property and information. Other duties may be assigned by management. Qualifications

3+ years of automotive technician experience required. Factory training certification is a plus. A.S.E. and A/C certifications are a plus. CSI and quality scores above regional average are preferred. Must have basic hand tools. Proficiency in all vehicle maintenance services. Team player with ability to work on complex tasks repetitively. Minimum age of 18 years old. valid driver’s license and safe driving record. Ability to pass pre-employment screening (background). 4-day work week available; Sundays closed.
