Review customer specifications to understand technical requirements, comments, clarifications, and exceptions for projects.
Assist in the selection and specification of compressors and associated rotating equipment.
Support the design and specification of heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and piping.
Perform engineering calculations related to piping pressure loss, control valve sizing, heat transfer, etc., under guidance.
Create P&IDs and basic package layouts using PC-based drawing programs (AutoCAD preferred).
Provide support for design of sub-systems in accordance with industry codes and standards (ASME, IIAR, ASHRAE, TEMA, etc).
Assist in drafting inquiries, specifications, and requisitions for purchased equipment.
Support project teams and other departments in technical tasks and problem resolution.
Review and check basic drawings and assist with IOM documentation.
Participate in cost estimation and meetings.
Create Bills of Material, drawing packages, and support Production teams as needed.
Support senior engineers and team members with project tasks as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Strong verbal & written communication skills and a collaborative attitude. Interest in exploring automation tools to improve engineering processes. High mechanical aptitude and a desire for learning. Comfortable in a Fabrication/manufacturing environment. Self-led and ability to balance heavy workload and adapt to changing priorities. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as needed to complete reports. Thorough understanding of the product and/or process being inspected. Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering. 0-2 years of experience in industrial refrigeration or oil gas related equipment design and start-up. Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. May be required to travel to and navigate a variety of sites to fully understand material needs. Seniority level
