Amazon
In the Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging (MSP) Customer Experience organization, we work backwards from our customers' needs, representing their voice throughout the product lifecycle—from development to deployment, support, and service. Our mission is to transform “stand‑alone work‑cells” into complete, safe, easy‑to‑operate, easy‑to‑maintain, easy‑to‑deploy and easy‑to‑service end‑to‑end solutions, embodying Amazon’s leadership principle: Customer Obsession.
As an Operations Engineer II – Field Deployment & Ramp, you will manage multiple projects, oversee the deployment of MSP solutions at new and existing sites, and own the coordination and execution of installation, commissioning, and performance ramp‑up. You will drive continuous improvement in deployment cycle time and lead engineering design improvements for simplified installation. The role requires significant technical expertise in automation installation and project management, and the ability to capture and synthesize the voice of the customer.
Key Responsibilities
Develop project plans and technical solutions, including problem statement and resource requirements.
Influence decisions on deployment and machine performance strategy at senior leadership level.
Own tactical planning and execution of complex cross‑functional projects, ensuring schedule, scope, cost and product performance are achieved.
Lead strategy for annual planning of resources and budget, defining deployment plans of record and continuous improvement goals.
Communicate program execution and performance to internal cross‑functional teams.
This is a travel‑based role; you will travel across North America, upwards of 75% or more.
About The Team The Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging Customer Experience (MSP CX) team works backwards from internal customer insights to validate, deploy and support MSP solutions in brownfield and greenfield sites globally, maximizing solution readiness and customer satisfaction.
