Senior Manager, Patient Access

Location: Skokie, IL | Full Time Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm Base pay range: $42.54/hr - $65.94/hr. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. What You Will Do

Provide leadership and direction to the Patient Access team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations. Develop and maintain efficient patient access processes, ensuring prompt and accurate registration, insurance verification, and pre-authorization. Collaborate with Revenue Cycle and Billing teams to maximize revenue through accurate insurance verification, timely pre-authorization, and upfront collection of patient financial responsibility. Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, CMS, and state-specific regulations. Implement quality assurance and control measures to minimize errors and discrepancies in patient information and financial data. Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff to keep them updated on industry trends and regulations. Foster a culture of patient-centered care, ensuring patients have a positive experience during the registration and admission process. Monitor key performance metrics and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes accordingly. Assist in the development and management of the department's budget, ensuring cost-effective operations. Collaborate with other hospital departments, such as finance, admissions, and medical records, to ensure a coordinated approach to patient access and revenue cycle management. What You Will Need

Education: Bachelor’s Degree Required, Master’s Preferred Certification: NAHAM-related certifications preferred (e.g., Certified Healthcare Access Manager, CHAM); relevant credentials may be preferred Experience: 5+ years progressive experience in patient access or revenue cycle management, with 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role Benefits (Full Time or Part Time)
