Job Summary and Qualifications
Perform and document patient assessments, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate respiratory needs and response to therapy.
Administer therapies such as oxygen, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy.
Assist with artificial airway placement and manage mechanical ventilation.
Monitor patient responses and intervene as needed.
Transport ventilator-dependent patients.
Respond to emergencies, ensuring airway and ventilation during resuscitation.
Qualifications required:
Certificate and State Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist or CRTT or Licensed RRT/RCP.
Basic Cardiac Life Support certification, with BCLS instructor status obtained within 30 days of employment.
