Founded in Watsonville in 1978 as a free clinic, Salud became a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in 1992. Today, it operates 11 clinic sites with over 400 employees, offering services to patients of all ages. The Pediatrician will work under the supervision of the Chief Medical Officer and in close collaboration with the Clinic Manager. $260,000 - $292,632.29 annually. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k) with Employer Contribution, 457(b), FSA for dependent care, Voluntary Life Insurance, Voluntary Long-Term Disability, Paid Time Off, Holiday pay, Flexible scheduling, CME allowance, and eligibility for loan repayment programs. Responsibilities:
Develop and manage a patient panel, providing attentive and comprehensive healthcare Perform direct patient care including history taking, physical exams, ordering and interpreting labs and radiology, prescribing medications, immunizations, and lifestyle counseling Perform procedures within clinical privileges Coordinate with support services such as Community Health, OB, Behavioral Health, Dental, etc., to deliver holistic care Refer secondary conditions to specialists as needed Handle emergency situations appropriately Accurately document all encounters in the electronic health record Work with scheduling and management to meet productivity standards Professional Conduct:
Follow clinic communication guidelines with colleagues, patients, and partners Communicate respectfully across diverse backgrounds Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team Assist with recruitment efforts if needed Build relationships with professional societies, educational institutions, and community organizations Adhere to policies, quality improvement initiatives, safety, and infection control standards Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with laws Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications:
Valid California Physician license, DEA license, and CPR certification Valid driver’s license Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatrics (preferred) Ability to obtain and maintain hospital admitting privileges Desirable Qualifications:
