Overview
In this role, you will collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and support services to enhance patient care. Your responsibilities include managing patient assessments, creating and updating plans of care, and evaluating patient progress. You will initiate and manage non-titrated IV cardiac infusions, interpret ECG rhythm strips, perform cardioversion procedures, and administer procedural sedation. Perform other duties as assigned to ensure optimal patient care and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Coordinate patient assessments through the collection of health data.
Analyze patient assessments to determine nursing diagnoses and identify expected outcomes.
Develop an interdisciplinary plan of care with prescribed interventions to attain expected outcomes.
Implement interventions identified in the plan of care, collaborating with the healthcare team.
Evaluate the patient's progress toward achieving the outlined outcomes.
Initiate and manage non-titrated IV cardiac infusions.
Interpret ECG rhythm strips and manage interventions as needed.
Perform cardioversion procedures and administer procedural sedation.
Perform other duties as assigned to ensure optimal patient care and satisfaction.
Qualifications
Experience: 1 year of clinical RN experience preferred.
Education: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 1 year.
Licenses and knowledge: Current Louisiana RN licensure.
Proficient in ECG rhythm interpretation.
Knowledge of departmental safety and compliance regulations.
Ability to manage cardiac infusions and procedural sedation.
Strong communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
