JOB SUMMARY Under the direct supervision of the surgeon and circulating nurse, and the overall direction of the Assistant Managers, OR Manager, Director of Surgical Services, and Vice President of Patient Care Services, the surgical technician assists in the nursing care and presentation of the surgical patient. The technologist handles instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. They understand the procedure being performed and anticipate the needs of the surgeon. They possess the knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and are vigilant in maintaining the sterile field.
JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS $10,000 Sign-on bonus!*
Type: Full Time (80 hours per 2-week pay period, with benefits)
Typical Hours: Days, 10 hours/shift, on-call rotation
Education:
High School Diploma or GED – required
Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program – preferred
Certification & Licensures:
BLS Certification - required
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – preferred
Experience:
Prior experience as a Surgical Technician OR completion of a surgical tech training/course – required
