Position Summary : At Orlando Health Imaging Centers, our expert medical teams use advanced imaging tools that produce highly detailed images and precise results. Our facilities are accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) for our staff qualifications, image quality, safety policies and quality assurance. Your screening exam will be evaluated by a board-certified radiologist, providing you with a timely diagnosis and setting you on the quickest path to treatment and recovery. Responsibilities
Essential Functions : Performs diagnostic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy and/or physiology for interpretation and/or intervention. Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to quality care. Delivers appropriate care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures. Complies with all state and federal regulations applicable to each modality. Adheres to Orlando Health mission statements and strategic imperatives. Assesses the patient’s physical condition and age-specific needs; provides instructions that achieve patient cooperation and desired results. Performs proper patient identification, acquires patient’s clinical history, and ensures information is accurately documented. Positions patient, equipment, and devices, and adjusts technical factors to achieve high quality images for interpretation. Assesses diagnostic images for technical quality, proper annotation, and patient identification, ensuring all relative anatomy is demonstrated. Applies principles of MRI safety to patients, self, and others.
Qualifications
Education/Training : Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology OR Graduate of accredited school of Sonography OR Graduate of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine OR Graduate of an approved MRI technologist program through ARMRIT. Licensure/Certification : Must have one of the following: ARRT certification OR ARDMS certification OR NMTCB certification; ARRT(MRI) or ARMRIT-approved MRI program graduate; current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification; Florida Certified Radiologic Technologist license (Preferred). Experience : Mandatory minimum of two (2) years MRI experience with proficiency in areas such as advanced imaging (3D Lab, IR procedural imaging, Breast imaging, Cardiac imaging). Site proctor/preceptor for onboarding and cross-training. Primary responsibility: dual imaging roles, with current proficiency and routinely performing in secondary modality.
