Location: Round Rock, Texas (Round Rock Clinic highlights: 31 local clinics serving Round Rock with primary and specialty care).
Responsibilities
Provide acute urgent care with a 0.5 FTE rotating schedule.
Assess the physical and mental condition of patients by performing and obtaining comprehensive or problem-focused physical examinations and histories.
Order, collect, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and other diagnostic tests to assess patient problems and health care needs.
Prescribe, recommend, and/or employ medical therapies or procedures in accordance with approved policies, with attention to efficacy, safety, and cost; modify interventions as needed.
Develop and implement comprehensive outcomes-based patient treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and the care team; evaluate patient response and care effectiveness.
Counsel patients and families regarding medical processes, treatment plans, medications, nutrition, and health promotion.
Maintain appropriate records detailing treatment plans and outcomes; initiate referrals as needed.
Provide consultation-level services for conditions related to the provider’s specialty and training.
Perform invasive procedures within scope of practice and delegated authority; may be required to cover duties beyond the regular schedule based on department needs.
Qualifications
Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Texas and APRN certification for the patient population of focus.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire or transfer.
Education: Grad of an Accredited Program.
Experience: Preferred 1+ year in Urgent Care, Primary Care, or Emergency Medicine.
