Guthrie Lourdes is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its Guthrie Binghamton Pennsylvania Avenue-Orthopedics team. As a Guthrie Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, you play an important role in caring for our patients while acting as a patient advocate and collaborating with physicians and advanced practice providers, as well as Guthrie Specialists throughout the strong referral Network. Highlights of the Position
Responsibilities A full time fast-paced position that includes clinical outpatient assessments, initial and follow-ups, inpatient rounding and surgical assists in the OR. Implementing treatment plans at the direction of orthopedic surgeon. Prescribing medications and treatments. Providing patient education and counseling. First call shared equally among all APPs in the practice. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care. Comprehensive Compensation and Benefits Competitive Salary range starting at $115,000, depending on experience. Paid Call coverage shared equally with other APPs in the Practice. Full benefits including medical, dental and disability insurance. Malpractice insurance including tail. Guthrie retirement savings plan (403B) with employer match and age-based contribution. Allowance for licensure fees, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certificate and renewals. Generous Paid Time Off. Qualifications Current license in New York State. Master's degree in nursing or physician assistant studies from an accredited program. Certification as a RNFA required for Nurse Practitioner candidates.
