Overview
The attending physician for this role will be a specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). Typically, there is no coverage by hospitalists for the patient population. The facility is equipped to consult for medically complex patients and provides access to all standard hospital specialties, given that the rehabilitation unit operates within a community hospital setting. Caseload
Maximum bed capacity: 14; average census 12–14. Admissions and discharges vary, averaging 1–2 per day. Practice mix (Adult Inpatient): 100% PM&R distribution: Sports/Orthopedics 33%; Central Nervous System Rehabilitation 50%; Medical Rehabilitation 17% Average number of patients managed daily: 14 Worksite Resources

Trauma Level: III Referral and transfer protocol: Affiliated hospitals are typically accessed for transfers at distances of 13 miles and 28 miles Required Procedures
Inpatient settings include a sub-acute rehabilitation facility. Schedule
The ideal candidate should possess flexibility in their schedule and should not necessitate a minimum number of coverage days. A commitment of 4 to 8 days each month is expected, specifically covering Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday each week, in addition to occasional weekend call responsibilities. The day shift operates from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with night call from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The call volume is low, resulting in minimal callbacks. Qualifications
Board Certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is required. An active Colorado medical license or an active Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) designation is mandatory.
