The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to residents. Collaborates with residents and families, other inter-disciplinary colleagues (including providers) to plan, implement, and evaluate care. Demonstrates competency within the full scope of nursing practice and adheres to age- and population-specific standards in the assigned clinical setting. Provides care across preventative, health maintenance, diagnostic, and treatment phases. Coordinates care, conducts resident assessments, provides resident education, and performs various nursing interventions. May serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel within job descriptions, skills, resident care needs, and delegatee competence. Ensures safe, reliable administration of resident care and addresses care and service concerns. Practices within the Nurse Practice Act, Administrative Rules, and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements as published by the American Nurses Association. Qualifications
Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program (preferred): CCNE, ACEN, NLN CNEA. Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred. Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where practice occurs, or multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact state. Obtains and maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications. Benefits
