Research Assistant I, Radiology at

Brigham and Women's Hospital

supports cardiac imaging research studies (echocardiography, magnetic resonance imaging, positron emission tomography, and single photon emission computed tomography). The role follows institutional policies and works under the supervision of the principal investigator. Responsibilities

Recruit and evaluate potential participants for clinical trials; conduct telephone interviews and schedule study visits. Collect, enter, and organize patient data; maintain and update imaging and research data in the database. Schedule patients for study visits; submit paperwork to process subject payment and follow up with patients. Assist PI in IRB preparation, IND application, patient scheduling, budget preparation, and patient accrual information. Coordinate research study activities with image archival, nuclear technologist activities, and information systems management related to the studies. Complete study case report forms, image reports, record maintenance, and study queries; respond to sponsor requests for comprehensive study information. Serve as primary contact for primary care physicians; disseminate inclusion/exclusion materials to nurses and physicians. Understand Radiology Information System and Hospital Information System for study completion and reporting. Work closely with research administration, partners IRB, clinical teams, and principal investigators to develop and implement patient recruitment strategies. Assist PI with preparation for presentations, written articles, and regulatory compliance documentation. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in the medical field or pre‑medical with clinical experience. 0–1 year of relevant research project work preferred; 1+ year experience in research coordination and IRB paperwork preferred. Sound independent judgment and competence in clinical research methodologies. Knowledge in Python, R, and computational skills desirable. Skills and Abilities

Highly organized, precise attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks. Excellent interpersonal skills for working with study participants. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Excellent oral and written communication skills; Spanish skills are a plus. General knowledge of clinical research principles and data management programs (Python, R). Perform image analysis with training; willing to learn RedCap. Job Details
