Overview
RN PreOp/PACU at Westover Hills (USPI). Westover Hills has 4 OR rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Orthopedic, Spine, Pain, General. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.
Responsibilities
Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient\'s condition, ensuring safety, comfort, and privacy.
Assist physicians in the procedure rooms with tasks including conscious sedation and sterile technique as appropriate.
Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
Active RN license in the state
BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment; prioritize and organize workload
Strong communication skills, verbal and written
