Nurse Educator

plays a key role in ensuring excellence in nursing practice and patient care within RiverValley Behavioral Health Children’s Hospital. Reporting to the

Director of Nursing , this position provides leadership in staff education, compliance, and clinical training to support nursing operations and uphold regulatory standards. Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing education and training programs to support competency, safety, and best practices in behavioral health nursing. Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to ensure staff compliance with state, federal, and accreditation requirements. Provide onboarding, skills validation, and continuing education for nursing and direct care staff. Support ongoing quality improvement initiatives and clinical performance audits. Serve as a resource for clinical procedures, documentation standards, and evidence-based care practices. Serve in the on-call rotation and provide direct care coverage when necessary. Assist with nursing operations, including policy review, workflow improvement, and staff scheduling support as needed. Participate in the development of care protocols, infection control initiatives, and risk management activities. Promote a positive and professional learning environment aligned with RVBH’s mission and values. Minimum Qualifications

Associate’s degree in Nursing or Education. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky. Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in psychiatric or pediatric settings. Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Education. Prior experience as a Nurse Educator, Clinical Instructor, or similar leadership role. Knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, and behavioral health regulatory standards.
