PracticeLink . The Division of Medical Genetics at Henry Ford Health System (HFHS) offers an active and integrated clinical genetics service, including reproductive and cancer genetics. The division also manages maternal serum screening and is expanding in cancer genetics with the Henry Ford Cancer Institute. With the growth of the Henry Ford Precision Medicine Program, genetics will play an increasingly vital role in clinical care. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about developing and expanding clinical genetic services. HFHS hosts a Laboratory Genetics and Genomics postdoctoral training program and offers teaching opportunities for Wayne State University Genetics Residency/Fellowship trainees, genetic counselors, and residents. Research opportunities in basic science and clinical areas are available. An academic appointment can be arranged through Wayne State University’s Center for Molecular Medicine and Genetics. The Genetics Division collaborates closely with the Pathology Department, including molecular and cytogenetics labs, supporting the entire Southeast Michigan region. HFHS is an equal opportunity employer. Currently, the division includes one MD geneticist and six genetic counselors. We aim to expand by hiring more genetic counselors and geneticists. We seek an enthusiastic and motivated candidate. Qualifications: Completion of an ACGME-accredited clinical genetics residency Board certification or active candidacy for the ABMG clinical genetics examination
