The Rheumatologist coordinates a course of treatment for patients with musculoskeletal issues while working with an interdisciplinary team, including nurses, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, dietitians, hospitalists, radiologists, pathologists and pharmacists. The Rheumatologist acts as an expert in the diagnosis and conservative treatment of rheumatic diseases and related conditions. The Rheumatologist may be asked to consult on hospital patients as determined by department leadership. Responsibilities

Diagnose, manage, and treat patients with rheumatic diseases in coordination with an interdisciplinary team. Consult on hospital patients as required by department leadership. Provide patient-centered care with emphasis on safety, comfort, and quality outcomes. Contribute to ongoing professional growth and department development. Qualifications

Current California Medical license. Graduate from an accredited Medical School. Graduate from an accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program. Graduate from an accredited Rheumatology Fellowship program. Evidence of continuing education to support licensure requirements. Successful completion of the Rheumatology Certification Examination. Demonstrated expertise in rheumatologic diagnoses, assessment, intervention, and patient care management. Experience interpreting radiological exams (X-ray, MRI, CT, etc.). Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently. Benefits
