The Emergency Room at St. Luke’s Health – Huntsville, a department of St. Luke’s Health – The Woodlands Hospital, provides high-quality emergency care from the Texas Medical Center to Huntsville, Livingston and Walker County. Staffed by board-certified physicians, emergency-trained nurses, and licensed radiology and lab techs, our ER treats patients of all ages for everything from minor injuries to serious illnesses.
Responsibilities
Perform technical diagnostic CT imaging procedures and operate diagnostic equipment for CT exams.
Provide patient orientation, procedure explanation, and pre/post diagnostic care through test completion.
Review and verify physician orders, communicate procedures to patients, and initiate patient IVs when applicable.
Position patients, calibrate equipment, document findings, and perform complete diagnostic imaging tests under the direction of the imaging supervisor/manager.
Assist patients with basic care needs and maintain room and equipment readiness after procedures.
Qualifications
HS diploma or GED; Associate’s Degree Preferred.
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – ARRT (R) (CT) within nine months of hire; must maintain current MRT certification with the Texas Department of Health; current CPR/BLS certification required.
CT license may be obtained within nine months of moving into the role.
Preferred: One (1) year of radiography experience or one (1) year of radiography clinical rotation experience in a healthcare setting.
Pay Range $32.38 - $48.17 /hour
