Schedule :
Two weekday 8 hour shifts from 7-3 : 30pm and 1 half day from 7 : 00-11am. Must have weekend availability as the clinic is open 7 days per week. 1 weekend a month working a day. This position is flexible to pick up extra shifts if wanted. This role involves assisting with a wide range of procedures, labs, and OR functions to support patient care. Responsibilities include preparing patients for exams, obtaining vital signs, collecting specimens, and performing point-of-care testing. The role supports various in-office procedures such as ultrasounds, hysteroscopies, biopsies, and polypectomies while maintaining detailed clinical documentation. In the OR, responsibilities include assisting with oocyte retrievals, embryo transfers, and other operative procedures using sterile techniques. Additional duties involve phlebotomy, lab requisitions, equipment sterilization, and ensuring compliance with infection control guidelines.
Job Summary The role supports healthcare teams by assisting with both clinical and non-clinical patient services under the direction of healthcare providers. Key responsibilities include taking vital signs, documenting patient information, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow. This role involves direct interaction with patients to ensure their comfort and address concerns, as well as collaboration with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff to facilitate efficient care.
Qualifications Education :
High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Associate's Degree Medical Assisting preferred.
Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No
Licenses and Credentials : Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - preferred
Certified Medical Assistant [National Certification] - preferred
Experience :
Direct MA experience or medical field work 1-2 years preferred

Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for success in this position.
Ability to prioritize tasks in complex and busy environments.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Comply with all local, state, and federal privacy and confidentiality rules and regulations.
Ability to take vital signs and manual blood pressure, as well as collect blood samples and other specimens.
Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and protocols.
Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical office software.
Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
Managing one's own time and the time of others.
