We are seeking a
Pharmacy Evening Manager
at the
David H. Koch Center for Cancer Care
to oversee outpatient and inpatient operations. The David H. Koch Center for Cancer Care is a multi-service outpatient cancer center that includes 16 inpatient beds. The 104 chemotherapy infusion treatment rooms support BMT, Myeloma, Lymphoma, Leukemia, H&N, Thoracic, and Phase 1 treatments. Other services include, but are not limited to: Rad Onc, IR, Plastics, Derm, Palliative care, Endocrine, Integrative Medicine, and the Brooklyn Infusion Center. Inpatient service: 24/7 Outpatient service: 7 days a week, day/evening OPD service: 7 days a week, evening Role Overview
Review workflow and make recommendations on procedures to improve efficiency and respond to changes in work areas Develop staffing schedules to assure adequate coverage at all times Monitor staff activities to ensure accurate, thorough completion of work required of each shift Review and enforce P&P and regulatory procedures Facilitate Human Resource activities including hiring, promotions, transfers, time-off management, and other staff inquiries Liaison between the Pharmacy and Administrative/Nursing/Medical Leadership at the site Oversee training, orientation and competency assessment for new and current staff Monitor RISQ events and perform event reviews on selected cases Perform performance evaluations for direct reports Inventory and budget management Staffing support as needed Serve as Supervising Pharmacist of Brooklyn Infusion Center Co-Designated Person of Koch Pharmacy Cleanroom Other assigned projects and committees Key Qualifications
PharmD (or equivalent) NY Pharmacist License Required Experience in Chemotherapy Operations and Project Management (preferred) Core Skills
Able to problem-solve operational, personnel, and patient issues Diligent and willing to adapt to changes in workflow to improve patient care A fast learner who can efficiently and accurately evaluate new information with new non-chemotherapy and chemotherapy agents being approved every few months and new protocols opening frequently Able to make sound decisions, even in the absence of complete information Highly motivated and able to work well with others Additional Information
Location: The David H. Koch Center for Cancer Care, 530 E. 74th Street, NYC Monday - Friday: Evenings with some coverage for Days/Overnight/Weekends as needed Reporting to Director, Pharmacy Chemotherapy Practice & Investigational Drugs Pay Range:
$149,200.00 - $246,300.00 annually Closing:
