MICU Nurse
role at
CommonSpirit Health Chandler Regional Medical Center’s Intensive Care Units provide patient care to Level One Trauma, Cardiac Surgery, ECMO, Tandem, Neurology, Neurosurgery and Medical patients. The ICU is an 80-bed unit with 36 Medical-Surgical Beds (12 CVICU), 32 Surgical-Trauma-Neuro Beds, and 12 Cardiac Care Beds. It is ACS Level One Certified Trauma Center, Accredited Stroke Center, and a Center of Excellence for Coronary Artery Bypass Patients and Mitral Valve replacements. ICU staffing includes 1:1 or 1:2 ratios and 24x7 coverage by certified Critical Care Intensivists. The ICU supports a house-wide and unit-based Shared Governance and self-scheduling, with opportunities to cross-train across the Trauma, Neuro, Surgical, Medical, and CVICU units. Responsibilities
As an ICU Nurse, provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols. Apply critical thinking in fast-paced, high-acuity environments. *MICU- Medical ICU: provide direct nursing care to patients with sepsis, DKA, post-cardiac arrest, respiratory failure and other medical conditions for a 36-bed unit.* *CCICU- Cardiac Care Intensive Care Unit: provide direct patient care to lower-acuity cardiac patients (STEMIs, PCI, vascular surgeries such as ELGs and carotid endarterectomy) in a 12-bed unit.* *SICU- Surgical Trauma Neuro ICU: care for neurology, neurosurgical, Level I trauma, and general surgery patients in a 32-bed unit.* *CVICU- Cardiovascular IC: 12-bed unit recovering immediate post-surgical open-heart patients (CABGs, valve surgeries, aortic repairs); care for patients on ventricular support devices and ECMO. Minimum 1 year CVICU experience in immediate recovery is preferred.* Qualifications
Minimum: One (1) year RN ICU experience. ADN, Diploma, or foreign equivalent. Current AZ State RN License in good standing. American Heart Association BLS. ACLS card must be obtained within 6 months of hire. Preferred: Bachelors of Nursing degree. Cerner knowledge. Employment Type

$35.00 - $58.63 /hour
