Overview
Join to apply for the Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Primary Care - South Cobb role at Wellstar Health System. This is a full-time position in South Cobb Primary Care, an outpatient practice located in Austell, GA. Schedule is Monday-Friday.
The APRN/PA will support the mission, vision, values, and goals of Wellstar Health System by focusing on clinical excellence through the provision of quality, patient-centered care. Candidates must be able to work alongside other providers and independently.
Requirements include APP experience and collaboration with multidisciplinary care teams to deliver high-quality care.
Responsibilities
Provide quality care to all patients under supervision in a safe and efficient manner.
Collaborate to develop and utilize Evidence Based Medicine (EBM) protocols for targeted diagnosis.
Cooperate with quality assurance, risk management, peer review, grievance procedures, and utilization control mechanisms implemented by the Medical Group and Affiliates.
Conduct comprehensive medical histories and physical examinations; initiate appropriate lab orders, radiology tests, or other diagnostic tests as needed.
Evaluate lab data and patient health status to develop working diagnoses and treatment plans.
Educate patients regarding disease and treatment plans; may serve as clinical preceptor for PA/APRN students and other health professionals.
Refer patients to specialists as appropriate and provide remote/virtual healthcare when needed.
Other duties as assigned and appropriate by training and experience.
Qualifications
Required APP experience:
5 years
Preferred APP experience:
Geriatric and complex patients
